The Ray of Hope Medical Center was a dream of Monique Mubiru’s for many years and it was realized in 2001 when Terri went to Uganda and told Monique that she and her ministry would partner with her to build the hospital. In 2006 the first floor was completed and dedicated in Terri’s honor, which was named “Hope” because it would bring hope to the people of Ntinda. The second floor was completed in 2008 and was named “Faith” because it was built completely on faith in God.
This hospital has been taking care of patients from all walks of life, regardless of their religion, tribe affiliation or ability to pay. We see all people as children of the one true GOD and treat all people with the love of God and respect that they all deserve. Though treating people who do not have the ability to pay has made it very hard on keeping the hospital afloat, we still see everyone, yet we sometimes don’t have the resources to give them the medical care they truly need.
